Requirements

Tax returns or financial statements
Work experience– Please provide evidence of employment for at least the previous 12 months
Evidence of an offer of employment upon your return home
Letter from your employer or statement from the applicant attesting to a need by the applicant for (improved) skills for their employment or career prospects
Proof of a range of professional or academic outcomes supporting the need for a new career direction.
You must have sufficient funds, which have been made legally available to you, to be able to pay for your course fees and cover your travel and living costs for you and your accompanying family members during your stay in Australia.
If you are required to offer proof of your financial capacity, you will be able to show this by providing one of the following:
Proof of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months living, course, and (for school-aged dependants) schooling costs for the student and accompanying family members
Proof that you meet the annual income requirement
an Acceptance Advice of Secondary Exchange Students (AASES) form (secondary exchange students only)
A letter of support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or Department of Defence
Subsequent entrants are your family members who apply after you (primary applicant) have been granted your visa. They also need to provide documentary evidence of financial capacity by using one of these:
Twelve months’ funds proof
Annual income option
Genuine access to funds
Now you can apply to two or more courses on your Student visa (subclass 500), provided there is a clear progression from one course to another. This process is called course packaging.
Students must furnish Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) or prove that a CoE is not needed for each proposed course with their visa application.
The final course you will take on as part of your course package will be your primary (or principal) course of study. The student will use the main course of study they choose to determine their financial and English language evidentiary requirements.
